I can’t believe Christmas is just a few weeks away! There are still presents I need to buy and cookies for friends and neighbors I need to bake. Ahh, tis the season. I had a day last weekend to decorate some sugar cookies, so here are pictures from my small batch.
These cookies were for my kids’ teachers. I added a Starbucks gift card too. As a teacher, I know just how hard December is (the students are all ready for break December 1st and we have three weeks of teaching left!), so it was nice to give them a sweet treat.
These are cute little minis. I just can’t get enough of the reindeer. He always makes an appearance every year.
This was a fun take on the traditional gingerbread house. Each piece was a small cookie and put together, it made for a nice centerpiece.
I think this new technique has to be my favorite. I used die cuts to create these flowers and designs and then dry dusted them with paint. However, to get the deep red, I had to use a lot of paint powder and my hands were stained for a week!
Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas! xoxo
