Starting tomorrow, the weather is going to be so cold! Like high of 32 cold. The only thing better than a cold day is a snowy cold day. Sadly, the predicted snow is moving east, so I’ll be lucky to see anything in a couple of days. No matter, one can always wish!
A little info on how I made these cookies. The sweater cookies are made with an embossing sheet, which is an imprinted design on parchment paper. After you outline and flood the cookie, you gently press the sheet onto the wet icing. Once dry, you peel it off and the design emerges! Simple, yet neat technique.
I did the same technique with this square cookie.
For the snowflakes on the square cookies and coffee cup, I used edible paper and an embossing machine and cut out the flakes. I dry dusted them and then glued them on with edible gule.
Similar technique on these, but I airbrushed the background. If you look close enough, you can see the white shimmer underneath the lettering and snowflakes.
Snowflakes are always so fun to make, and the pink piping just adds a soft touch.
For the mittens, I painted gold the yarn to connect the pair together.
So while it’s cold and dry here, I’ll still be wishing for the snow, even if it only lasts a few minutes. Happy winter! xoxo

I had to giggle when I read your post this morning. Not sure where you are located but I’m in central Illinois and we are going to be -3 degrees tonight with wind so a real feel of -17 degrees. That is COLD!!! We would love 32 degrees!!
Oh wow, that’s cold! I live in Charlotte, so 32 degrees feels really cold to me, haha.
