I love fall. There’s just something magical in the air when the season changes, especially when the summer has been hot. Right now, the weather is in the low 80s and the nights are cooling down. The leaves have just started to change color and the squirrels in my trees are louder than ever as they actively collect the last of the nuts. (In fact, last week I was grading papers on my porch and heard a big commotion in the far back of our yard. Thought deer were passing through, but no, it was just two squirrels fighting and chasing each other through the dropped leaves!) I’m ready to start carving pumpkins and drinking hot apple cider. Let the fall decorations commence!
When I was mixing the colors for these cookies, I thought the blue and purple would be too dark, but after they dried, I think they were the perfect shade.
I now have all the pieces to my KopyKake projector, so writing the word “fall” was much easier. (Funny how copying words from a projector stresses me less than freehanding it.) Happy fall! Hope you are enjoying the beauty of this season. xoxo
